What about those stomoach-shaped leather bags basque shephards used to carry wine in? I don't expect leather is any worse for the world than stainless steel. I don't really know how to compare nickel mining to agriculture. But you'd look jaunty though. Interestingly, there was a style of spine-hugging triangular backpack that mimicked the same shape. You could end up starting a brief fashion trend and become really famous for the wrong reason, perhaps.
